Jane Atherton and Julia Vassie both started their career as consultants over twenty years ago for a national agency. "It was very different without technology to assist you. Interviews were made by meeting your clients daily and speaking to them by telephone, paying temps out with weekly cheques and the fax machine hadn't even been invented. Seriously!". They soon realised their joint ambitions of making a difference through their people gave them a sense of great satisfaction coupled with delivering success to their clients and candidates. They were promoted to lead several teams, offices and areas turning loss making centres into profit making top performing businesses. They then moved on to opening new offices and realised this was their passion. Recruiting and training staff who could fulfil their dreams in being the best in their arena of recruitment professionals. Julia and Jane know that the Manager and Leader of any business is the key to growth and success. They love nurturing their staff and seeing them become successful leaders in their own right. They maintain this can only be achieved by individuals who are willing to put in the hard graft coupled with tenacity and finally always willing to go that extra mile. Julia and Jane then knew that their forte was building a business through organic growth and co-founded Huntress Commercial in 2000, which successfully expanded into a £100million turnover company with 22 offices nationwide. After a successful MBO, in 2009 they took a short break to return and launch a new staff owner managed recruitment consultancy in the heart of London. Their passion for recruitment has only continued to grow and their plans are to role out a unique boutique consultancy in London and the South East delivering the ultimate recruitment choice for candidates and clients!
